A letter to myself

29 Jan

Dear me,

You see what you’re feeling here? It’s called hope. It’s called optimism. Now I know that freaks you out, but stop it. Ok? You had this feeling and nothing bad happened to you. So you are allowed to have this feeling again. And again. Always.

You’re also allowed to be depressed sometimes, and anxious – but please be compassionate toward yourself when you feel this way. If you don’t know what to do – read this letter.

You proved to yourself today that you can be brave and strong and stand up for yourself. You need to continue to believe that.

Believe that you’re talented. Believe that you’re good enough. Believe that you are loved. And please, if possible – try to love yourself just a tiny bit more, ok? You deserve it.

Love this–you are talented and good enough. Anyone can see that and you should too.

And try to love yourself just a little bit more.

I think we all need to look at that one more often. (unless you are a narcasist..in that case you are already super awesome, 😉 )
