I’m working on a hella-long post for later which has nothing to do with this stuff, but for you curious readers, I went to the doctor today, which calmed me down considerably and will hopefully keep me off the crazy-google-machine at least for a while.
So here’s the breakdown:
1) Vitamin D supplements prescribed (apparently mine is hella-low and that can contribute to MC’s)
2) I have to go and do the stupid 24 hour blood pressure test thingy AGAIN! Because results were apparently inconclusive.
3) My cholesterol is through the roof so she referred me to a dietician.
I am happy to report that it wasn’t Lupus. 🙂
So glad it wasn’t Lupus.
I learned to day that high cholesterol can be connected to PCOS, along with diabetes and all that other scary stuff. But her exact words were, “We know all these things tend to travel together, but we have yet to figure out who’s driving.” I thought that was pretty funny. I’ve gotten a few high cholesterol readings in my life – none recently, though, despite the amount of bacon I consume (guessing that’s not a factor for you) – and diabetes is one of my greatest fears. So I hope someone other than PCOS drives the bus, just in case.
Anyway, good luck with everything. I second what Yolk said: glad it’s not lupus.
On an unrelatedly geeky note: why does Lupus have to be so bad? it soulds alot like lupin which is such a pretty flower.
I’m glad to hear that things are going alright so far and they found the vit-D issue.
